Comprehensive Care Services/Child Family Interventionist

Counseling services provided by Cumberland River Behavioral Health, are available on site at each school to assist children and their families in obtaining and meeting treatment needs in the least restrictive environment possible. School Based Services are provided by a Child/Family Interventionist and include, but are not limited to: Individual, Group, Collateral and/or Family Therapy, Psychoeducation and Consultation/Collaboration with school staff. Evidence Based practices and programming, along with an array of treatment modalities are utilized. After-School and Summer Program services are also available.  By providing School Based Services, children have an increased opportunity to meet their educational needs by receiving services on site rather than leaving school for an appointment at a local office. Services may also be provided within the child/families home. All services involve a multi-disciplinary team approach to ensure holistic care and quality of services. Child/Family Interventionists can also assist in identifying other services that may benefit the client and/or family such as Case Management, Psychiatric Services, Peer Support, Community Support, etc.
