Bell County Hosts Regional Robotics

On Saturday, March 23, 2019, Bell County Schools hosted one of the Regional Robotics competitions.  Participants included Bell County High School (School Sponsor - Lauren Good), Bell Central School Center (School Sponsor Adam Knuckles), Lone Jack School Center (School Sponsor - Josh Maguire), Right Fork School Center(School Sponsor - Robin Redmond), and Yellow Creek School Center (School Sponsor - Paul Haley).  The event was held at Bell Central School Center's gymnasium with judges an volunteers from across the district and schools.  A special thanks is extended to Principal Jennifer Blankenship and Assistant Principal Susan Brock for all of their help in set up, training judges, facilitation during the event, etc.

State STLP - Robotics Competition

 

On March 29th, 2018, the annual state STLP Competition was held in Lexington, Kentucky at Rupp Arena.  Bell Central Elementary, Bell Central Middle, Right Fork Middle, and Bell County High School each qualified to compete in the RCX RoboChallenge Extreme competition during state STLP. 

State Level Results for our District are as follows:

Bell Central Elementary- 1st out of 46 teams

Bell Central Middle- 1st out of 29 teams

BCHS- 4th out of 26 teams  (1st year competing!!)

 

We are Proud of ALL of our teams who competed and represented our district.  Congratulations on a job well done!!

Regional Robotics Competition

 

Bell County Schools Compete in Robotics!!

On Saturday, March 18, 2017, four of the Bell County schools competed in the Regional Robotics Competition in Berea, Kentucky. 

Those schools competing were:

  • Bell Central being coached by Jessica Dunn and Adam Knuckles at the elementary level and  Susan Brock and Adam Knuckles for middle level
  • Lone Jack School Center coached by Jeremy Sanders
  • Right Fork School Center coached by Clifton Caldwell
  • Yellow Creek School Center coached by Paul Haley

Bell Central's Elementary and Middle school teams BOTH won 1st place. Yellow Creek School placed 2nd in the high school division. These teams will advance to the state competition.

Thank you to the students and coaches for ALL of the hard work and time that went into preparing for competition.
