GEAR Up

Read Across America

On Saturday, March 3rd, Bell County GEAR Up Academic Interventionists and College and Career Navigators participated in the annual Read Across America event held at the Middlesboro Mall.  The event started at 10:00 am and ended around 2:00 pm.  Participants came from many of the local schools in addition to the GEAR Up staff.  At the Gear Up booth, students participated in face painting, coloring their own bookmark, and having their pictures made with their career choice.  There were also designated storytelling time throughout the event.  Please see the gallery from the day's events below.
