As most of you know, we have been working very hard with our multilplication unit. It was a 4 week unit which involved not only our multiplication facts but we worked on factors, multiples, and double digit multiplication as well. We just finished that unit and we are now learning about division. We have learned about related multiplication and division facts. We will also be learning the steps involved in long division. This is a pretty new concept for most 4th graders so be patient with them. Don't let them get frustrated because it is something they probably haven't seen and it is one of those things that takes some practice. They will be solving division problems in class and using multiplication to check, as well as, calculators. Tell your student to keep on working hard and it will get easier with every problem they work.
